What is Human Design

Human Design is a system, that describes accurately who you are and helps you navigate in this life as yourself. It helps you, with the use of simple tools, to realign yourself into your true nature. It helps you to deal with life in a relaxed way and eventually become more aware. Human Design system is a synthesis of the ancient observational systems of Astrology, the Chinese l Ching, the Hindu – Brahmin Chakras, the Judaic Kabbalah and the contemporary sciences of Quantum mechanics, Astronomy, genetics and biochemistry. It is not a belief system. It is a logical, empirical system that you can experiment for yourself and see whether it works for you or not. Eventually, it will help you to live as yourself and see your uniqueness revealed

How it can Help You

Human Design can help you make decisions as yourself. If you feel frustration, anger, bittiness, resentment, if you feel that you are not satisfied from your life, you cannot find your peace of mind, you are not successful in your work or you do not have relationships that you are fulfilling, it is because you are dealing life’s everyday’ s dilemmas with your mind.

And decision making from your mind is deeply rooted in your early life’s conditioning. And the voice you can hear in your head to do this or that is not who you are. It is the voice of your parents, the voice your community which says what is correct and what is wrong, it is all kind of voices, but not yours.

Human Design will help you to find your own voice, your way to make decisions as yourself, so that you can find satisfaction in your life, peace of mind, success in your work, and meaningful relationships that will help you grow and fulfill your purpose in this life.

How does it Work

Scientifically Human Design is based on the Neutrinos. Neutrinos are tiny particles that carry on infinitesimal amount of mass , and as they have mass, they carry information. They are produced from the stars (the Sun produces 70% of all neutrinos) and abort 3 trillion pass through every square inch of the planet per second. It is actually a stream of information, affected by the planets it is passes. At the moment of birth we are imprinted by this neutrino stream. This imprint it is what you see in you Human Design Chart.

Key Components

Types

Humanity is divided into 4 types. Each type has different attributes, a different aura and a different strategy. These types are:

They are nearly 65% of the population of the Earth. They are the driving life force of the planet. They have an open and enveloping aura and their strategy is to respond to life’s stimuli and not initiate. By responding, they can find satisfaction in their life. If they initiate they will meet resistance and frustration.

These are 2 subcategories of generators.

  • Pure generators – 35% of the world population
  • Manifesting generators – 30% of the world population

Their main difference is that Manifesting Generators have their energy connected to their throat and therefore they can act more quickly than the Pure Generators. It is usually more challenging for them to learn to respond. They can be more efficient if they operate correctly but they often skip things they believe they are not important.

Famous Pure Generators : Albert Einstein, Dalai Lama, Elvis Presley, Bill Clinton, Meryl Streep, John Lennon, Madonna, James Dean, Vladimir Lenin, Carl Jung, Timothy Leary, Oprah Winfrey, Meg Ryan, Greta Garbo, Margaret Thatcher, Deepak Chopra.

Famous Manifesting Generators: Frederic Chopin, Marie Curie, Hillary Clinton, Clint Eastwood, Sigmud Freud, Mahatma Gandhi, Steffi Graf, Marie Antoinette, Mikhail Gorbachev, Jimi Hendrix, Pope John Paul II, Janis Joplin, Friedrich Nietzsche, Richard Nixon, Yoko Ono, Prince, Jaqueline Onassis, Martin Luther King, Vincent Van Gogh.

They are 10% of the population of the Earth. Their aura is closed and repelling and they are the only type that can initiate, they can make things happen. They are not here to be controlled. They have a great impact on others. They can create an unconscious fear on others and that’s why the others try to control them. That’s why their strategy is to inform before making a decision, so that they can make the others feel more comfortable. As they inform, and with their great impact, they can make things happen for them.
Famous Manifestors: Johnny Depp, Richard Burton, George W. Bush, Adolf Hitler, Frida Kahlo, Jack Nicholson, Robert de Niro, Orson Welles and Susan Sarandon, Herbert Von Karajan.
TThey are 22% of the population of the Earth. They have a focused and absorbing aura. Their aura focuses on the very core of the other and by recognizing the others, they can guide them. Projectors are not here to do the work (to do the job or to work) . Their strategy is to wait for the invitation, as the other first they must recognizing in them, their capacity to guide them. In that way (To that or This is the way how) they can achieve success in their life. If they do not wait, they will meet resistance and disappointment.

Famous Projectors: Queen Elisabeth II, Mike Jagger, Joseph Stalin, Ringo Starr, Osho, Napoleon, Woody Allen, Salvador Dali, Elizabeth Taylor, Fidel Castro, James Joyce, Barbara Streisand, Ulysses S. Grant, Douglas MacArthur, Demi Moore, Princess Diana, Tony Blair, Ramana Marshi, George Gurdjieff.

They are 1% of the population of the Earth. Their aura is resistant and sampling. They are completely open to the world and others therefore they can reflect the world around them. As they are totally open, their strategy is to wait a lunar cycle, before making a decision. If they operate correctly as reflectors, they are here to be surprised in their life, or else all they will get is disappointment.
Famous Reflectors: H.G. Wells, Sandra Bullock, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Ammaji (hugging Amma)

Inner Authority

Inner authority is our body intelligence that enable us to make correct decisions. The mind doesn’t know what is correct for us, as it is deeply influenced by conditioning. Therefore, making decisions with our mind leads us to frustration, anger, bitterness and disappointment. It leads us away from our true self. Our mind is a perfect tool, but as an outer authority. It can help others, it can inspire them, but not for your decision making.

Threre are 7 types of Inner Authority:

As an emotional person you operate through an emotional wave and waiting for emotional clarity is the way for you to make dicisions. Your motto should be “no truth in the now”. Truth reveals itself over time. It might take one day, one month, or even one year, in order for you to have a sense of clarity to make a decision.
You are here to make decisions by listening to your gut feeling, a sense from your belly that says ah-huh (for yes) or uhn-un (for no). It is a voice or feeling that iyou can mmediately feel when you respond to a stimuli or a question that might demand a decision from you.
Splenic authority is to make decisions by listening to your instinct. The splenic voice speaks softly and it does not repeat itself, so you have to be very alert and tuned in the present, so that you do not miss it. You will instinctively when something is correct for you or not.
Having a Ego authority, you are here to make decisions out of your willpower, your defined motor center which is close to the sternum.
Your inner authority originates out of your G-center and connects to the throat center. So you are here to express your identity. The way you should make decisions is by listening to what you say out of your identity. Discussing your decisions verbally with others who are neutral, clarifies yourv decision making.
Your decision should come up, by discussing them with others, who act as a neutral sounding boards. It is very important to feel whether the environment you are in feels good for you. The proper environment will bring the correct people in your life.
As a reflector that you are, you must a wait a full Lunar cycle (28 days circle) in order to make a decision, in order to avoid disappointment. It is important for you to wait and see this personal monthly pattern of lunar transits, in order to get a sense of clarity. It is a key for you to slow down and pay attention to the environment in which you are in. The correct environment will bring you the correct people in your life.

Centers

Centers are energetic hubs inside the body graph that receive and transform the energy that circulates throughout our body. There are 9 centers and each one has different qualities and biological correlation
According to your design it can be defined (consistent flow of energy) or open. The open centers, predetermine and the not-self strategies of the mind in your decision making.

The Head Center is the pressure to think. This is one of two pressure centers (the other is the Root). It is the fuel to think though questions, doubts, and confusion. The defined Head center has the ability to be inspirational. When it’s not trying to figure out its own life, its perspective can bring information into the world.

The undefined Head center is taking in everybody else’s thoughts and amplifying them, putting incredible pressure in your head to figure things out and to act on things that have nothing to do with you. When you operate correctly, you can be wise about other people’s inspiration.  The open Head question is: “Am I trying to answer everybody else’s questions?”

The Ajna Center is how you think. A defined Ajna center has a fixed and reliable way in which it processes  information. It can seem and feel certain of its opinions, concepts, and theories. It has a consistent way of conceptualizing.

The undefined Ajna center is under pressure to try to hold onto a mental opinion. With no fixed way of thinking, these people often end up with anxiety about not being consistent, and overcompensate by trying to make everyone else believe that they are certain. When operating correctly, you can be wise about other people’s ability to think. The open Ajna question is : “Am I trying to convince everyone/myself that I am certain?”

The Throat Center is about communication. The Throat is the point towards which all the energy in the body is moving to find expression. It is through this center that manifestation, metamorphosis, and transformation take place. The defined Throat speaks in a fixed way, with a consistent expression from whatever energy center it is connected to.

The undefined Throat  has no consistent voice, which can cause a nervousness and a pressure to speak. The open Throat can want to attract attention by expressing something or by saying that it will do something (manifest) in order to relieve the pressure.  The open Throat can speak in many voices with different ways of expressing, as long as it is not trying to force it.  When operating correctly, you can be wise about other people’s way of expressing themselves. The open Throat  question is: “Am I trying to attract attention?”

The G Center is the identity of the self.  This center is about love, behavior, and direction.  The defined G center represents a fixed self that behaves and expresses love in a consistent way. It is a reliable expression of the self.

The undefined G center has no fixed identity, and can be confused because it is always changing, as each environment brings a new identity. As a not-self, you are making decisions, in order to find love and direction. When operating correctly, you can be wise about other people’s identity and behavior. The open G question is: “Am I looking for love and direction?”

The Ego center is about willpower. This is where the will to do something or not is expressed as an energy. The defined Ego can make commitments and promises that are healthy for it.

The undefined Ego is always under pressure to prove and improve itself.  This can be experienced as  a deep lack of self worth. The vast majority of people have no willpower, and suffer greatly because the world puts great emphasis on being able to do what you say and prove yourself. When operating correctly, you can be wise about other people’s will power. The open Ego center question is : ” Do I  have  something to prove or improve?”

The defined Solar Plexus is the source of emotional energy, and works in a wave from hope to pain and back again. The defined emotional center needs time in order to feel its way through the environment, and learns to create space so that it can become clear, never giving in to the  pressure to act spontaneously.  It is a  relief for many to understand that there is no reason for their highs and lows; it is just chemistry.

An undefined Solar Plexus means that you are taking in the emotions of others and amplifying them. The open emotional being has learned to make nice and play nice in order to avoid the volatility of the emotional world. You should  never trust how you feel (the emotions of others) or allow yourself to be pressured emotionally by others. When operating correctly, you can be wise about other people’s ability to handle their emotions. The open Solar Plexus question is : “Am I avoiding confrontation and truth?”

The Sacral Center is the source of life force. It is reproductive, life sustaining energy. The defined Sacral has the capacity to sustain work and create in the world. The Sacral is a response motor and regenerates itself through the correct application of its energy. However, the opposite is also true: it can degenerate into frustration when forced to do work that is not satisfying.

The undefined Sacral means that there is no consistent access to life force. Many people with undefined Sacral centers take in and amplify the energy around them, and end up way overdoing what is energetically correct for them, trying to keep up with the world of the generator. When operating correctly, you can be wise about other people’s way of using their sacral energy.  The question is “Do I know when enough is enough?”

The Spleen is about survival. The Spleen is our oldest and most primal awareness. The Spleen is also completely existential, meaning that it only works in the now. Based in instinct,  it is what is often referred to as intuition. This body-knowing runs through the lymphatic system. Like little tongues, noses and ears covering the body, it is a cat-like sense. Defined Spleens have a fixed sense of well being and can know in the moment how to act in order to survive and be healthy.

Undefined Spleens can feel very vulnerable and often spend a lot of time trying to fix their amplified fears by hanging on to whatever makes them feel more secure, regardless of whether it is actually healthy or not. It is not healthy for undefined Spleens to be spontaneous; they are not here to act in the now. When operating correctly, you can be wise about other people’s well being. The open Spleen question is “Am I holding on to what is not good for me?”

The Root Center is about adrenal pressure. The Root center’s pressure moves energy up through the body to fuel action. Defined Root people are under a constant and consistent pressure to do. It is a healthy energy as long as it entered into and used correctly.

The undefined Root is dealing with an amplification of this adrenal stress that comes from the environment, putting people, and in order to get rid of the pressure, to act in a hurry. When operating correctly, you can be wise about other people’s  stress. The open root question is “Am I in a hurry to get everything done so I can be free of the pressure?”

Definition

All the white areas of your chart, is your openness. These are areas where there is no continuous flow of energy and therefore they are not stable and reliable. These are the areas where you are vulnerable to environmental influences. These are the areas have conditioned the way you have learned to make decisions with your mind, and as a result to be taken you away from your true nature. When operating correctly, these are the areas that potentially you can be wise about.

Depending on which areas of your chart are defined there are 5 types of Definition

All defined channels and centers in your design are connected in one continuous flow (whether they are conscious or unconscious). It means you have a sense of wholeness, you are self contained and you do not need the other to have the sense of wholeness or to assimilate information.
People with single definition are approximately 41% of the population
It means you have 2 different areas of your design that are not connected to each other. Whether it is one gate, one channel or even a combination of channels and gates, you need somebody else that will help you bridge that split and have a sense of wholeness. You are someone that you are here to learn through relationships. You will be attracted from people that will bridge your split, but it is important that these people will be the correct ones for you , the ones that will help you to fulfill your purpose in your life.
People with simple split definition are approximately 46% of the population
You have three separate defined areas of your chart that are not connected to each other.
It essential for you to spend time every day (even some minutes) in the public, so that the bridging of your defined areas can take place and therefore experience the totality of yourself. You need to be on the move and experience different kind of environments. You might be seen as active, ambitious and assertive. Be carefull of your impatience.
People with triple split definition are approximately 11% of the population.
You have four separate defined areas of your chart that are not connected to each other. By having eight or nine centers defined, you carry a very fix way of expressing yourself. It is crucial for you to take your time to assimilate information before making a decision and not carried away with other people’s expectations.
There no centers defined. These are the reflectors

Profile

Profile is another basic component of Human Design. It adds further nuances to Design, diving deeper into what truly differentiates us. While you share certain characteristics with others, for example, those with the same Type and Authority, a different Profile takes you on very different paths. It can be seen as a costume we wear while learning to play specific roles. These roles enrich our experience of life, as we engage with and impact others through our particular part. Altogether there are 12 Profiles, with six primary roles representing basic themes in combination with each other.

There are 6 lines. Below I will give a brief description of each.

1st line – Investigator – person who studies and looks at things deeply, a strong foundation is needed to feel secure.
2nd line – Hermit – a natural talent, will need a lot of alone time, waits for the calling.
3rd line – Martyr – trial and error, finds out how things work by going through what doesn’t first, may have many relationships, jobs, etc. to find what works
4th line – Opportunist – influential, very communicative, network of friends, acquaintances and associates
5th line– Heretic – seductive and attractive energy that attract projections and expectations from others
6th line – Role Model – acts as 3rd line in the first 30 years, then authority for others, detached from life (between 30th and 50th year) to finally become a role model (after 50th year).

There are 12 profiles: 1/3, 1/4,2/4, 2/5, 3/5, 3/6,4/6, 4/1,5/1, 5/2, 6/2 and 6/3. The profile must be seen in relation to your type.

You need a solid foundation, in order to feel secure. You need to educate yourself so that you can express your creativity and become the authority you are meant to be. You continuously bump into things, but, it is through trial and error that you are here to learn in life. You have the resiliency and sustainment to adapt and be able to pick yourself up and announce the world the truth of what it does not work.
As an investigator, you are focused to find a solid foundation, that will provide you security. You need to educate yourself, so that you can become the authority and influence the people of your network. You have the ability to influence the ones close to you, so the bigger the network you have, the more people you can get the knowledge you have acquired out to.
You are inherently shy and unaware of your gifts and you need someone’s call in order to get them out and share them in your network. On the one hand you like to be left alone in your shelter and on the other hand your opportunistic unconscious side wants to connect with the world. You have the ability to influence the people in your network, so the bigger your network, the more people you can share your talents.
As a Hermit, you like to be left alone and do your own thing, unaware of your unconscious transpersonal skills as a Heretic. You might be unaware of your skills but when you wait for the call, you have the potential to lead in a rebellious way and bring practical solutions to the whole. You are exposed in the projection field of others, so waiting for the correct call, it can transform you and help you establish your reputation.
Resilient, adaptable and mutative your conscious 3rd line focuses primarily in the discoveries of the material world. Things will bump into you and it is through trial and error you are here to learn in life. It is this learning process that will help you, as a heretic, to seduce the others and bring them the practical innovative solutions they might need.
All 6th lines have a three-stage life process. During the first 30 years you operate as 3rd line, so in your case as 3/3 profile. A period that can be quite turbulent where many things could go “wrong”. From 30-50 years old you operate as 3/6 profile. It is when you climb up to the roof and take a break and observe life. It is the healing period of your life. After 50 years old, you climb down from the roof and re-engage with life and eventually you flourish as the role model you meant to be.
As a 3/6 you can be quite pessimistic as you are constantly struggling with a trial and error process, but you have the sustainment to discover what does not work and be trusted as a role model in your flourishing stage.
All 6th lines have a three-stage life process. During the first 30 years you operate as 3rd line, so in your case as 4/3 profile. A period that can be quite turbulent where many things could go “wrong”, especially to find the correct network and friends. From 30-50 years old you operate as 4/6 profile. It is when you climb up to the roof and take a break and observe life. It is the healing period of your life. After 50 years old, you climb down from the roof and re-engage with life and eventually you flourish as the role model you meant to be.
As a 4/6 you can be of great influence to the people you know, so the bigger your network, the more people you can influence. Eventually you will influence them as role model in your flourishing stage.
As an investigator, you need to study something your inner authority guides you, so that you establish a solid foundation that will make you feel secure. With you 4th line, you can be of great influence to the people you know. The bigger your network, the greater are the opportunities to externalize your knowledge base. It is what will give you the strength to fulfill your purpose in life through your own merits.
As 5/1 you have the highest transpersonal potential to universalize from all 12 profiles. You need to build a strong foundation by educating yourself to something you love and therefore establish a sense of security. As a 5th line you draw the projection of others and as long as you provide them with practical solutions, you can be of great influence. If not, your reputation will suffer and as a “heretic” you will be burned at the stake. People are projecting to you that you will save them and with your seductive nature you have the potential to provide them with new, innovative ideas that will transform the “normal” way.
You are open to the projection field of others and on the one hand you have the potential to be of great influence with your seductive nature, by bringing new, innovative practical solutions to their problems, on the other hand you might want to be left alone, feeling overwhelmed by the pressure. It is balance that you need to find in your life between the need for reclusiveness and when to get out to express your natural talents in a heretic way.
All 6th lines have a three-stage life process. During the first 30 years you operate as 3rd line, so in your case as 3/2 profile. A period that can be quite turbulent where many things could go “wrong”. From 30-50 years old you operate as 6/2 profile. It is when you climb up to the roof and take a break and observe life. It is the healing period of your life. After 50 years old, you climb down from the roof and re-engage with life and eventually you flourish as the role model you meant to be.
As a 6/2 you have the potential of great influence as a wise role model that others can trust. You seek for perfection in all aspects of your life. You have the natural gifts and innate talents that you naturally unfold to the world, but you also have the need to be left alone in your shelter, where you can find your inner harmony.
All 6th lines have a three-stage life process. During the first 30 years you operate as 3rd line, so in your case as 3/3 profile. A period that can be quite turbulent where many things could go “wrong”. From 30-50 years old you operate as 6/3 profile. It is when you climb up to the roof and take a break and observe life. It is the healing period of your life. After 50 years old, you climb down from the roof and re-engage with life and eventually you flourish as the role model you meant to be.
As a 6/3 you have the potential of great influence as a wise role model that others can trust. You seek for perfection in all aspects of your life. There is a constant trial and error process from which you learn and you have the sustainment and resiliency to see what doesn’t work in life. There lies your wisdom that can be of great service to the others.

Founder & History of Human Design

Ra Uru Hu was the Human Design System’s founder and messenger. Ra was born Alan (Robert) Krakower in Montreal, Canada on April 9, 1948, and spent his early years there. After he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, his career path led him into the business world as an advertising executive, magazine publisher, and media producer. The arts were important to Ra, and he expressed himself as a composer and performer throughout his life.

In 1983, he left Canada to travel, eventually finding his way to the island of Ibiza, where he spent years working as a school teacher.
In January 1987, he had an unusual mystical experience followed by an encounter with “a Voice,” an intelligence far superior to anything he had ever experienced. This encounter lasted for eight days and nights during which he received a transmission of information—what is known today as the “Human Design System.”
In 1989, after his encounter with the Voice, Ra Uru Hu wrote the Rave I’Ching, the foundation upon which Human Design rests and the key to unlocking the code of our genetics. As the oldest of the Chinese classic texts, the I’Ching, or Book of Changes, is an ancient divination tool used for over three thousand years.
Ra dedicated the next 25 years of his life to the development and teaching of the System around the world.
Together with his family, he lived in the United States, Germany, and for most of the time on Ibiza, Spain where he passed away in March, 2011.
